The Dahlie Family: Happy 5th Birthday Tanner!

It is hard to believe that our little boy is 5 years old already. As I think back over the last 5 years I have to wonder where has the time gone? Of course, he is very excited to be one year older and can't wait to get even older! Why is it that kids don't understand that being little is the best time of life?? We had a great day celebrating his birthday. There was a Home Depot kids workshop so we took the boys to that and they always enjoy building the projects. It was a beautiful afternoon so we were able to head to the out door pool one last time. For supper we had pizza as would be expected. We don't want to break that tradition! Recently Tanner has become very interested in Legos and he received some Lego sets for his birthday. He does a great job working by himself and putting them together. He does become a little obsessive with them, though. Mason really enjoys the finished product, but he does have a tendency to break them. Thankfully Tanner is very patient and willing to put them back together. We have started a home school program with Tanner and he understands that he is in kindergarten. He loves to read and we have just started chapter books which both boys really enjoy.
