Happy 4th Birthday Tanner!

It is hard to believe that our little Tanner is already 4 years old!  We had an awesome time celebrating his birthday and he was so appreciative of everything.  He has such a sweet spirit and he really wears his heart on his sleeve for everyone to see.  Grandma and Grandpa Dahlie flew in on Wednesday to help celebrate his birthday and that was super special.  Tanner loves animals so for his birthday we went to Pine Mountain Wild Animal Safari.  We didn't tell the boys ahead of time and they were both so excited when we got there.  Tanner was great about feeding the animals, but Mason was pretty  hesitate about getting to close to anything but the really little deer.  Tanner really wanted a John Deere tractor cake for his birthday so David and I worked together to create something that resembled a tractor!  I made the cake in a 9x13 pan and when I took it out of the oven Tanner asked what it was.  I told him it was his birthday cake...he looked at me with really sad eyes and said, "but Mom I wanted a John Deere Tractor cake."  If only they came out of the oven that way!  Tanner received a lot of nice birthday gifts and he had a lot of fun trying them out with Grandma and Grandpa.  David and I got a new bike for him which he has already put to good use and he is quite proficient on.  He is wondering when he can start riding without the training wheels.  They don't stay little for long.  It was a wonderful birthday and a very nice visit with Grandpa and Grandma.  God has truly blessed us with a thoughtful and caring little boy.
