A Week at the Lake House

For our last week in Wisconsin, we rented a lake house together with my siblings on a small lake near my Grandparent's vacation home.  My Grandparents starting camping at this lake in the 70's and we camped as kids there as well.  Lots of good memories were made there and we are continuing the tradition with our own kids.  Over the weekend we had a big family picnic for the Rehbergs and it was great to see everyone and catch up.  Grandpa and Grandma were able to come for a couple of days and they treated us all to a trip to Noah's Ark.  The boys had a great time on the water slides and it was fun to see how much more adventurous they were this year.  My brother loaned his Jet Ski to us for the week so the boys had a good time doing "donuts" and also riding behind in a tube.  Tanner tried skiing and knee boarding, but he was pretty tentative.  He assures us that next summer he will try again.  We had a couple of dreary days so the boys spent a lot of time fishing with their cousins Lofton and Landon.  Thankfully David was there to help with getting the worms on the hooks and the fish off!  We had tons of fish that hung out near our dock and they were probably the best fed fish in the lake for the week we were there.  The kids loved throwing bread to them and they got plenty of our worms as well.  There was a small paddle boat we could use and the kids enjoyed going out and puttering around.  It wasn't extremely warm (especially for us Southerners), but we still enjoyed the pool.  It was a fun week with family and we are hoping to be able to maybe do it again next year!

Good thing it was still tied to the dock

At the Noah's Ark parking lot...we are ready!

Is this too cute or what?

Tanner is wondering who is driving this boat?

Roasting marshmallows...David makes perfect roasted marshmallows

The boys loved these little chairs we found and of course they loved s'mores

I think we probably over did it with the marshmallows on this trip
