Down Hill Ski Trip

We just got back from an awesome down hill ski trip in Northern Minnesota that my brother coordinated.  The boys loved being back in the snow and seeing family.  We stayed right on the ski hill so we could ski right out of our lodge which was very convenient.  Unfortunately, I did not have my camera with me so I did not get many pictures.  Tanner did excellent skiing and even went by himself a little.  There was a magic carpet that took him up to the top of the bunny hill which he was able to get on and off by himself.  He was able to get himself around a lot more this time and he was more confident about his abilities which was fun to see.  The first time I let him go down the hill by himself he got to the bottom and there were a bunch of people that it looked like he was going to run into, but he put his skis into a snowplow and turned around!  I was amazed that he did so well.  It was very cold so the boys couldn't stay out very long and we did take Tanner down some of the bigger hills and the wind was really cold when you came racing down the hill.  The boys were able to play out in the snow next to our lodge which they loved.  They also had time to play with their cousins Lofton, Landon, and Bella.  Tanner played Wii for the first time and it was amazing how well he did without have a clue what he was doing!  It was a wonderful trip and it was amazing that when we left Northern Minnesota it was 12 degrees and snowing and when we got back to Atlanta it was 70 degrees and very humid!

Taken from the deck of our lodge...you can kind of see the ski hills behind us.

Eating breakfast...a nice big table for us all to sit around.
