Opening Presents!

Since we wanted the boys to be able to play with their new toys before we left, we decided to have our gift opening this morning.  In keeping with tradition we had homemade sweet rolls for breakfast and the boys also had some hot chocolate which they drank in front of the fire.  They were very patient waiting to open gifts and although we didn't do a lot, they were very excited with what they got.  Mason got a little play digital camera so he was busy taking pictures all day.  He thought it should go in the bath tub with him and to bed with him!  He is a very loyal to his toys.  Tanner got a little tool set for putting together different trucks.  It is a little advanced for him, but David and I got to put our assembly skills to good use!  They also got some little play food that they can cut with a wooden knife.  They are really enjoying it and Mason brought it to the kitchen counter and was cutting up his apple and bread while I was making supper.  He didn't understand why he couldn't use his cutting board and knife to help me cut up the veggies for supper!  I am just preparing them so in a couple of years they will be able to make all the meals.  It was a really relaxing and enjoyable day.  We have been so blessed with such wonderful boys and each day with them is a treasure.

Roaring fire, hot chocolate, does it get any better?

The boys love hot chocolate and of course marshmallows

This is mostly what we saw of Mason for the day
