Busy Week!

We decided to start Memorial Day week out with a trip to Stone Mountain Park.  It seemed like a good idea to hike the mountain, but in reality it was really hot.  You will be able to see in the pictures that both boys were just sweating profusely and uncomfortably hot!  They were good sports though and made it to the top of the mountain without any rides from Dad.  We had a little picnic lunch at the top of the Mountain and then we spent some time in the village because of course, David wanted to watch the glass blowing.  Almost scary is that both boys are just about as interested in it as he is!  On Tuesday we traveled north of the city and took the boys to the beach.  They LOVE the beach!  It is kind of nice that we don't have to worry about naps anymore so we can basically spend the whole day out and about if we want.  On Wednesday we headed to the city pool to escape the heat and the boys had a blast there as well.  Since the boys are older now and the heat is already a little oppressive, we decided to get a summer pass to the city pool.  We have been going every day which has been fun.  Tanner is doing great learning how to swim and to keep his head under water.  We finished off the week with a visit from Grandma Dahlie and Dot as they were passing through to Wisconsin.  The boys were so excited to see them and I think Tanner was praying for some sort of national disaster so that they would have to stay longer!

Do I look hot or what???

Taking a much needed break!

Finally at the top...eating lunch

Tanner checking out a little cave

Tanner took this picture of the mountain...not bad!

They really love to play in sand

As you can see the beach is just beautiful and not very busy!

Building a sand castle with Dad

And off to the pool

Tanner dunking his head under water

Yeah...swimming under water!

Doesn't Mason look cool in his goggles?

Eating breakfast at our new table...the only time of the day when it is cool enough!
